Cluetrain is basically right

by antonh last modified 07-Sep-06 11:48 AM

I just finished writing an assignment on the relationship between the Cluetrain message and creating a culture of openness in government. After I'd handed it in, I found an example of the "Cluetrain message":http://www.cluetrain.org/ in action. Read on for the link...

It was a Q&A session with Computer Associates on Slashdot. If you compare the tenor of the questions to the 'dull, lifeless monotone' of the VP's responses you'll see exactly what Cluetrain is talking about.

For those interested, I was talking in my assignment about how the Internet is creating an expectation of access to information which puts pressure on governments to embrace openness, despite the incentives for secrecy. I might post the whole text of it here at a later date.
