I'm still kicking around a few ideas about the relationship between concepts of justice and the open source software movement. I think at this stage I might pull apart one of Richard Stallman's essays on why software should be free (see "http://gnu.org/philosophy/":http://gnu.org/philosopy (or the google cache). But here is an interesting article on "Open Source for Human Development":http://www.infonomics.nl/FLOSS/workshop/papers/tuomi.htm which talks about how the model could be used outside software development.
