Well, I've had a 12" iBook for about a month now, and I've enjoyed it greatly. There are a few things which annoy me a little bit, but for the most part I must say that I am sold on my new toy.
Best points
- Expose
- Battery life
- UNIX on tap :)
- Instant on/off
Stumbling blocks
- Trying to get fink working through an authenticating proxy (use wget not curl)
- Trying to get my mail out of Outlook and into Mail.app
- Limited support for Mono - still don't know if I'll be able to develop ASP.NET websites on my Mac :(
Things that suck
- That I didn't get a chance to inspect the machine before I bought it because ...
- When I got it home, I immediately noticed one permanently blue pixel. According to Apple, that's just my bad luck.
- I can't login to this website when using Safari. Says
there is a problem with cookies. Since I can log in to zopezen.org and
plone.org (which this site is built on), I can't really work out why :(
- No native OpenOffice
